Epitalon Dosing Protocol

Epitalon is researched in short cycles rather than continuously — a 10 to 20 day block, repeated two or three times a year. Published Russian protocols and community conventions differ substantially on the per-dose figure, which is reflected in the wide band below. Plan the vial count before starting. At the conservative 1 mg band a single 10 mg vial covers a full 10-day cycle. At the 5 mg band it covers two days, so a 10-day cycle needs five vials. Running out mid-cycle is the most common practical failure with this compound.

Epitalon Reconstitution Guide

Epitalon ships as a lyophilized powder. Because per-dose figures vary widely, choose the volume to suit the band you intend to use.

Units are U-100 insulin-syringe units. At the 5 mg band and 2 mL, one dose is an entire 100-unit syringe.

Reconstitution steps

  1. Inspect the vial. Confirm the label, expected milligram amount, and that the powder looks dry and intact.
  2. Wipe the stoppers. Use an alcohol swab on both the bacteriostatic water and peptide vial stoppers.
  3. Draw the chosen volume. 2 mL into the vial — this is the number that sets every concentration figure above.
  4. Inject down the wall. Release the water slowly down the inside wall, not directly onto the powder.
  5. Swirl, do not shake. Roll gently until dissolved. Shaking foams and can damage the peptide.
  6. Verify clarity. Solution should be clear and colorless. Discard if cloudy or particulate.
  7. Label and refrigerate. Note the date and volume added on the vial, then store at 2–8 °C. Do not freeze the reconstituted solution.

How Epitalon Works

The mechanism most attributed to Epitalon is induction of telomerase activity, reported in cell-culture work to extend the replicative lifespan of somatic cells. It is also described as regulating pineal function and melatonin rhythm, following from its origin as a fragment of a pineal extract. Both claims come substantially from one research group, and independent replication is the central gap.
